Ravens' Orlando Brown Exploring Trade Possibilities

Feb 26, 2021 8:10 AM

Representatives for Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Orlando Brown have started exploring trade possibilities as he seeks a full-time place at left tackle, according to a source.

The Ravens are aware of those plans. They value Brown, but are open to discussions about his future.

The team drafted Brown in 2018 to play right tackle opposite left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who was signed to a five-year, $98.75 million extension in October. When Stanley suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle in Week 8 of last season, Brown moved to left tackle over the final 10 regular-season and playoff games, posting a solid 76.4 Pro Football Focus grade on his way to a second consecutive Pro Bowl.

Brown made clear his feelings in late September with a simple tweet: "I'm a LEFT tackle."

The 6-foot-8 Brown is a former third-round pick set to hit free agency in 2022.

Deshaun Watson Met With David Culley, Still Wants To Be Traded

Feb 26, 2021 8:05 AM

Deshaun Watson met with new Houston Texans coach David Culley last Friday, according to sources, and informed Culley that he still has no intention of playing for the franchise.

Upset over the way the organization has operated in recent years, Watson has asked the Texans to trade him and has had very little contact with the team since the season ended.

Thus far, the Texans have told interested teams that they don't intend to trade Watson, who just last summer signed a four-year, $156 million contract extension that runs through 2025.

Russell Wilson Would Approve Trade To Cowboys, Saints, Raiders, Bears

Mar 1, 2021 8:37 AM

Russell Wilson has not requested a trade from the Seattle Seahawks, but his agent revealed he has a four-team list of destinations he would approve of being dealt to.

Agent Mark Rodgers said the only teams Wilson would go to are the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears.

Wilson has expressed frustration after the season.

The Seahawks, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler earlier this month, made it clear to suitors that Wilson would not be dealt.

Teams Believe Base For Russell Wilson Trade Would Be Three Firsts

Feb 24, 2021 8:17 AM

It's unknown if the Seattle Seahawks are truly willing to trade Russell Wilson, but one-third of the league has already called about the possibility of trading for the quarterback.

The belief is that the starting point for serious trade talks would be three first-round picks.

Trading Wilson would require the Seahawks to take on $39 million of dead money onto their cap.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for a 2021 third-round pick and conditional 2022 second-round pick, according to league sources.

Darius Leonard Wants Colts' Next QB To 'Put The Team First'

Feb 16, 2021 8:32 AM

Darius Leonard was surprised by Philip Rivers' retirement.

However, the linebacker explained that he understood the quarterback's decision.

"It was definitely a complete shock," Leonard said. "You know, just talking to him a couple of days before he announced, he still didn't know what he was gonna do. Me personally, I do believe that he has some left in the tank. He played very well this year for us and I thought he was going to come back the next year and do the same exact thing and play even better."

Leonard doesn't think the Colts need a superstar at quarterback next season, just someone with a team-first approach.

"I honestly don't care who's the quarterback, as long as the quarterback comes in with the right mentality and they're gonna help us win ballgames," Leonard said. "I don't care if he's young, I don't care if he's old, I don't care if he's well-known or not. If you're going to come in and put the team first and help us win ballgames, come on down to the Indianapolis Colts."

Feb 16, 2021 8:27 AM

While Carson Wentz is expected to be traded soon, the Philadelphia Eagles are also working on a possible trade involving Zach Ertz, according to reports.

The Eagles have specifically reached out to the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks about an Ertz trade.

The Colts have already been in discussions with the Eagles about Wentz, but not at Philadelphia's price.

If a trade partner can't be found, the Eagles could release Ertz outright.

Seahawks Receiving Trade Interest In Russell Wilson

Feb 12, 2021 11:32 AM

The Seattle Seahawks have received trade interest in Russell Wilson from a number of teams as he has made public comments about his uncertain future with the franchise.

"More teams continue to call the Seahawks about the availability, potentially, of Russell Wilson," said Tom Pelissero. "But I can also tell you those teams, from what they've picked up on so far, have gotten no indication that the Seahawks are in any way inclined to trade their star quarterback."

Wilson is under contract for three more seasons and has a no-trade clause.
